LHH is seeking an experienced Law Firm Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our client’s Portland office and supervise a team of 30 legal support professionals, including paralegals, legal assistants, and office staff. This is a key leadership role that requires someone with a strong understanding of the law firm environment, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative team atmosphere.
Job Description: Law Firm Administrator
Location: Portland, OR (Onsite)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $90,000–$120,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage recruiting efforts to build and maintain a high-performing team.
- Supervise and mentor legal support staff (30 FTEs), handle personnel issues, conduct performance reviews, and provide feedback in collaboration with attorneys.
- Oversee office events with the support of a fun committee.
- Monitor budgets and financial processes (no year-end financials required).
- Work closely with the Director of Operations (based in Seattle) and the Partner-in-Charge on office strategy and decision-making.
- Assist in creating and administering firm policies and benefit programs that align with the firm’s culture and vision.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an office management or supervisory role, preferably within a law firm.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with HR processes, recruiting, and team supervision.
- Event planning experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.
